RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working with an immense range of clients in all sizes.
  • Interpreting the client’s business needs and developing a concept to suit their purpose.

  • Estimating the time required to complete the work and providing quotes for clients.

MUSTS:

  • 1–3 years’ experience.
  • Awareness of high-quality typography and design.
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Proficient Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint).

MIGHTS:

  • Agency experience.

Copywriter

Rules? Where we’re going, we don’t need rules.

You can read but can you write?

 Are you a writer who can melt keyboards and set notebooks ablaze with your ideas?  You read an ad and make mental markups on it. F. Scott Fitzgerald tried writing in advertising, it was too difficult.  Can you out advertise the dude who wrote The Great Gatsby? Be a risk-taker, climb our mountain, and dive off its summit.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand your audience, taking the time to capture their voice.
  • Create comprehensive and creative copy that provokes consumer interests.
  • Edit and proofread consumer copy and other copy as needed.
  • Assume responsibility for researching and developing content pertaining to various brand standards.
  • Draft B2B and B2C scripts for various video projects.
  • Adjust tone and consistency across all produced materials.
  • Develop copy with conceptual understanding of how copy relates to design, graphics and typography.

MUSTS:

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
  • Experience presenting concepts to clients across multiple channels.
  • Extensive experience managing simultaneous projects.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience writing copy for consumer brands.
  • Track record of winning new business with a portfolio to prove it.
  • Capable of functioning within deadline while working independently and part of a team.

Proofreader/Research

You eat grammatical errors for breakfast with skim milk.

You were a grammar correcting outcast growing up? Fantastic.

Do typos make you angry? Do you sometimes feel like you were secretly put on this earth to fight the villains of bad grammar? Do you compulsively correct your friends’ grammar even though they threaten to abandon you? Not only will you be required to do all of these things, but you will also be blessed with the privilege of perfecting our already beautiful projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Liaising regularly with authors and publishers by phone and email.
  • Checking that authors have provided all the required materials and paperwork.
  • Resolving queries directly with the author (style and text inconsistencies).
  • Coding manuscripts for design features, such as hierarchy of headings, to instruct the production team.
  • Producing a style checklist to ensure consistency in hyphenation, capitalization, formatting of references, etc.

MUSTS:

  • 1-3 years’ experience.
  • Expert in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint).
